A single malt, distilled over 14 years ago, it's left to mature in specially selected oak casks which previously held Oloroso sherry. The oak provides its natural golden colour - there’s no added caramel.
ABOUT THIS BOTTLE
Glengoyne Distillery takes its name from Glen Guin, glen of the wild geese; the most perfect and romantic location for making scotch whisky. The pure water that filters off the hills of Dumgoyne tumbles down the soft woodland glen to a small waterfall above Glengoyne. Unlike most other single malt whiskies, Glengoyne has traditionally dried its malted barley using only warm air. This ensures that there is no overwhelming peat smoke in the finished malt. The result is a subtle, complex and generally more satisfying whisky in which all of the delicate flavours are fully expressed.
