South Australia's historic Barossa Valley, close to Adelaide, is considered one of the most important wine regions in the country. This rich concentrated white, with a racy minerality and fruit with just a subtle hint of wood, shows why Barossa Chardonnays are so highly prized
ABOUT THIS WINE
The Barossa Valley has a wealth of mature vineyards, some in notably dry, sunny areas and others in cooler, higher locations. The grapes for this wine come from several Barossa vineyards, giving a wonderful balance between ripe, rich flavours and fresh, crispness. Winemaker Matt Gant fermented and aged a small proportion of the wine in French oak then blended it back in to add subtle spicy, creamy notes.
Serve lightly chilled. This wine is perfect with classic roast chicken, but do try it with fresh seafood or pasta in a rich creamy sauce too.
