STYLE:
A premium dry white from one of Italy’s most renowned wine-producing regions, Piedmont. Look out for a delicious fruity flavour of lime, pear and apricot, a subtle hint of almond and a fresh, ripe, zesty finish.
SERVING:
Serve lightly chilled, either as a refreshing aperitif, or paired with fresh fish such as grilled trout, or a seafood salad. It also makes a good partner for mildly spicy Indian dishes and creamy pasta sauces.
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Gavi is a renowned, distinctively fruity dry white made in Piedmont in the north-west of Italy. This is a highly modern example, made from 100% Cortese grapes hand-picked fromo 35-year-old vines, in the “Quadro Sei” (“Block Six”) of La Battistina Estate. Winemaker Claudio Manera has not aged the wine in oak, so its fruity character shines through.
